Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in the world. I love the laid-back attitude and the rich art scene. I love the vibrancy and yes I love getting fresh juice from la boqueria every morning.
One of the things I love most, though, is wandering around looking at the street art.
Some of it is political, some of it is more cool, some are just advertisements, but it all is enthralling to me. There is something really special about stepping outside to freshly painted artful graffiti in the morning!
I’ve also got to share a few suggestions – these are my favorite places to eat when I’m in Barcelona.
- Takumi Ramen – I would eat here every day if I could! I like this place more than any of the ramen I tried in Tokyo. (Which probably says a lot more about me than it does Tokyo!)
Carrer de Balmes, 59, 08007 Barcelona, Spain - Mercado de La Boqueria – this place is famous and gets extremely crowded. I like to go when they open at 8:30am for fresh juice. It’s the best juice you’ll ever have, trust me!
La Rambla, 91, 08001 Barcelona, Spain - Taco Bell – please judge me the way I deserve. Now that you have, listen to me: the desserts here are incredible. The menu is different than it is in the USA and if you’re like me and you get picky after a long day, this is a wonderfully safe bet.
Ronda de la Universitat, 33, 08007 Barcelona, Spain - Husky House Cafe – so you can’t eat here, but you CAN drink coffee or tea while you pet 4 adorable and friendly Siberian Huskies!
Carrer de Julià Portet, 8, 08002 Barcelona, Spain
